PREPARING THE PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT FOR APPLICATION
The plant protection product calculated over the recommended dose is first mixed with some water in a separate container. The tank of the application machine is filled with water halfway. The mixture is added to the tank while the mixer of the machine is running. Mixing is continued and the tank is filled with water. Mixing process is continued until the application is completed. The prepared plant protection product should be used within the same day. The amount of water to be used per decare should be 20-40 L, fan jet nozzles should be used in applications.
CALIBRATION : The application machine should be calibrated before the application. The amount of the mixture to be given to the specific area should be well adjusted to provide a good coating in applications. Applications should be made at cool times of the day, in windless or slightly windy weather conditions.
CLEANING THE SPRAYING MACHINE : Empty the sprayer’s tank safely right after the application is complete. After filling the tank with clean water, run the mixer and spray system and ensure that the sample parts are washed. Do not wash near water sources. Do not discharge the washing water and wastes by water supply.
USAGE OF THE PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT
Shake well before use. The prepared mixture is sprayed to cover all parts of the plants when the weather is cool and calm.
Cotton : The field is divided into 4 sections and a leaf is taken from 25 plants in 10-15 steps in each section, a total of 100 leaves are counted with a magnifying glass. If 5 red spiders per leaf are reached in the Mediterranean and 10 in the Aegean and Southeast, coating is applied. Partial application can be made in border contaminations. According to the device, the amount of water to go to one decare should be determined by calibrating and the necessary plant protection product should be added to the determined amount of water. If tractor-pulled ground tools will be used, inter-row nozzles should be used.
Tomato, pepper, eggplant, watermelon, cucumber – Red spiders : Spraying should be done when an average of 5 live spiders per leaf are seen in cucumbers and eggplants, and 3 live spiders are seen in tomatoes and peppers.
Strawberry-Red Spider: Early application: A single application is made when red spiders are seen in problematic strawberry areas, during flower and green fruit period (before the first ripe fruits are buried). In-season application: In cases where early application is not made, strawberries are checked at 3-5 days intervals at the beginning of the season (March nut-early April) while growing in the open. First of all, it is sufficient to control and spray these plants. If ropulation is widespread, at least 50 leaflets are examined from the middle and lower parts of the plants to represent the field. If 15 or more spider mites are detected per leaflet, spraying is decided. Spraying is done immediately after fruit collection. Harvest should be done by paying attention to the time between the last spraying and the harvest.
Clove : Application should be made when an average of 3-5 active individuals per leaf are seen in 25-30 leaves representing the greenhouse. 0.2% adjuvant should be used for cloves. There is no need to use spreader-adhesive for other plants.
Whitefly in Tomato : With 50 leaves, 0.5-2 larvae per leaf in May-June, 2-3 larvae in July-August. Application is started when 3 larvae are seen in September.
